About Me
My name is Svetlana Farafonova.
I am a psychologist and logotherapist working with adults who experience anxiety, burnout, loss of inner stability, and questions of meaning.
In my work, I rely on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), logotherapy, and existential analysis. My focus is not only on reducing symptoms, but on helping people develop inner resilience and the ability to support themselves in everyday life.
Why This App Was Created
Over time, I noticed a recurring challenge:
many people lack simple, consistent tools that help them notice their inner state, understand what influences it, and gently restore balance — between therapy sessions or even without formal therapy.
This is how iMental was created — as a calm, thoughtful space for:
tracking emotional and mental states,
developing self-regulation skills,
cultivating a more conscious and attentive relationship with oneself and one’s life.
All practices in the app are grounded in modern psychology and adapted for real, everyday use — without pressure, judgment, or rigid expectations.
Professional Background (Briefly)
Higher education in psychology (Specialist degree; equivalent to Bachelor’s + Master’s degree)
Professional training in logotherapy and existential analysis
Advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Private psychological practice
Member of the American Psychological Association (APA)
Member of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP)
Member of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy (Vienna)
In addition to clinical work, I have 6 years of business and leadership experience in international company. This background shaped my approach to mental health: I think systemically, value sustainable solutions, and understand how psychological processes unfold in real-world contexts — work, responsibility, overload, and decision-making.
What I Believe In
I believe that mental health care:
should not be complicated,
can be integrated into everyday life,
begins with attentive, conscious systematic approach.
iMental is not a replacement for therapy.
It is a way to listen to yourself more closely, notice patterns, and gradually build inner support.
